Gerald “Jerry” Wright Burton's Obituary

Gerald (Jerry) Wright Burton returned to his father in Heaven to join his loved ones waiting for him on September 29, 2013. Jerry was born January 2, 1941 to Walton R. Burton and Melba Wright Burton. He married his eternal love Annette Crabtree in the Salt Lake Temple on November 7, 1963. They were blessed with two sons Scott G. Burton and Mickael W. Burton (deceased) and a daughter Lori Kim Burton (Drandakis). They had great pride in their grandchildren, Briana and Kosta Drandakis. Their family was everything to them! Jerry has a brother Steve W. Burton and a sister Maureen Burton Haag. Jerry retired from DDO (Defense Depot Ogden) after 29 years of dedicated service. During his life he was with the East Layton Police force and was a volunteer in the Riverdale Fire Department, serving as a training captain for many years. He was truly proud to be an American. He retired from the Utah Air National Guard, U.S.A.F., after 32 years of military service. Family and friends may gather at Leavitts Mortuary at 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah on Friday, October 4, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park at a later date.
