Obituary

Harold C. Miller, 85, passed away November 17, 2015 in Layton, Utah. He was born, November 3, 1930 to Dora May and John Leonard Miller in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated from Weber State College. He was married to Carolyn Ann Miller in Albuquerque, New Mexico, December 6, 952 where they met while stationed at Kirkland A.F.B. while they both served in the Air Force. His military life included 23 years of service at bases in Japan, Philippines, Korea, and others in the states before being discharged at Hill A.F.B. Harold and Carolyn found a wonderful home and community in South Weber, Utah. He always had a love to coach, obtained his teaching degree and taught in the Weber School District for 20 years at Sand Ridge Junior High and Bonneville High. A highlight working with the youth of South Weber was coaching a group of boys who won the LDS All Church basketball tournament. Harold is survived by his spouse Carolyn, children, Richard, Michael, Elizabeth, Mathew, Rhonda, Blake, and 41 grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by three older siblings, Bob, Joe Harry, Anna May, and son, Harold, and two grandchildren, Melynda and Alyx. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to service.
