Jaret Everett Buchanan, 20, passed away July 11, 2016. He was born May 1, 1996 to Rachel Buchanan at Eielson Air Force Base in Fairbanks, Alaska. Jaret graduated from Layton High School. Our beloved son, brother and friend; Jaret was raised in Layton, Utah where he attended and graduated from Layton High School the class of 2014. In high school, Jaret excelled in competing for his debate team, as well as discovering his love and passion for music. No matter where Jaret lived, or stood, he was a friend to those around him. Whether for his family or his peers, he always stood up for those in need. Through his inclusive nature, love and humor, Jaret could always bring a smile to a face, and help those who felt alone feel loved. He was a brother to all, and it is for these qualities that his family and many friends will remember him so fondly and miss him so dearly. Jaret is survived by his mom, Rachel; his sister, Nadia; grandmother, Dianne R. Smith; and many Aunts and Uncles who loved him dearly. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bridgecreek LDS Ward Building, 628 S. Angel St., Layton, UT. There will be a viewing Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th St., Ogden, UT and from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the Funeral at the Bridgecreek Ward. Interment at Syracuse City Cemetery.
