Agnes "LaVonn" Book Caudle, of Ogden Utah, passed away December 24, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family at the age of 92. She was born, October 18, 1921 to Edgar P. and Eunice V. Book in Griswald, Iowa. She graduated from Longmont, CO High School. LaVon married Donel R. Caudle, Sr. in Longmont, CO on December 13, 1941. She was a wonderful wife for 72 years and a perfect mother and loving other mother to many. She was an active member of the Canyon Road Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed sewing, needle work and was the best cook. She was a homemaker that never had a drivers license. Before her son was born she worked in the hospital in Longmont, CO then at the DDO during WWII. Her sense of humor was something everyone enjoyed because you never knew what she would say. LaVon is survived by her husband Donel R. Caudel, Sr.; son Donel (Rebecca) R. Caudle, Jr of Ogden; brother Rolland (Dorthy) Book of Cheyenne, WY; 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother and father., The family would like to express their appreciation to Gentiva Hospice for their wonderful care they provided for her. The saying her husband wanted all to know: "My pain is gone, Ive been set free, my Lord and Savior ransomed me." Per her request there will be no viewing but a graveside service will be held at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, UT on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
