Mark William Ball, 57, passed away June 22, 2013. He was born July 14, 1955 to Edwin and Joanne Ball in Ogden, Utah. Mark graduated from Bonneville High School. Mark was a loving and patient father, a loyal friend and a good man. His passions were watching and playing basketball, riding his mountain bike with friends and family, and listening to music. He loved the Utah Jazz almost as much as his family and was delighted by Karl Malones visit on his last hospital stay. Special thanks to Drs. Grossman, Andtbacka, Anker and staff at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Thanks as well to the caring staff of IHC Hospice. Mark is survived by longtime girlfriend, Kathy Thomas; three sons from his marriage to Jennie Strain: Eric, Nick and Jesse Ball; 6 grandchildren; siblings, Doug, Linda (Essler) and Karen (Oestman) and other family who will miss him greatly. Funeral Services will be held Friday 11:00 a.m., June 28, 2013, at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. There will be a viewing Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment: Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
