Michael Wayne Houpe, Jr., 49, passed away March 15, 2020 at his home. Michael was born March 26, 1970 to Michael Houpe and Brenda Smith Houpe in Morganton, NC. Michael Wayne Houpe, Jr. graduated The University of TN, Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Psychology and Botany. He married Robin Lynn Meyer of Knoxville TN in December 2003. Michael was an avid reader and history buff. He had a green thumb and was an excellent gardener. He also studied martial arts for many years. Recently he loved snow skiing, target shooting, traveling, and any activity with his family. But most of all he was a devoted father and husband who chose to stay home to raise his children rather than pursue a career of his own. Michael is survived by his wife of 16 years, Robin Houpe; two children, his daughter and son; and mother, Brenda Smith Jones of Knoxville, TN; and brother, Jason Trent Houpe of St. Augustine, FL. Michael is preceded in death by his father, William Michael Wayne Houpe. Graveside Services will be held on Friday, March 20, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th St., Ogden, UT 84403.
