Nancy Rallison Valdez's Obituary

Nancy Rallison Valdez, 71, passed away January 1, 2022 at Ogden Regional Hospital. She was born January 3, 1950 to Cley Blaine Rallison and Kathern Louise Henricksen in Ogden, UT. Nancy graduated from Ogden High School in 1969 and married Arthur L. Samuelson in 1972 and later divorced. She married Gilbert E. Valdez on February 21, 1981 in Elko, Nevada. They remained married until Gilberts passing on September 2, 2013 and she has been heartbroken ever since. Nancy worked at Hill Air Force Base for 21 years as an Electronics Technician where she received many awards and recognition for her work performance. She retired December 31, 2011. Nancy enjoyed camping, her horse, and spending time with her three sisters Carol, Kathy and Lynn. They were trouble with a capital "T" times four when they got together. She was the best cook and anyone will tell you the same. Her roast beef, potatoes and gravy were to live for and if you didnt think so we would fight you for it. She was the kindest person but full of spunk. She had a great sense of humor and was full of whit. Her taste in music was diverse, to say the least, and she loved to dance. 70s Disco and Funk was her favorite, and ABBA topped that list, but she also loved Outlaw Country Music than to Gilbert. There wasnt a time where you would drive around with her and listen to the latest top 40 and modern music either. Nancy was an avid dog lover, she owned so many dogs its hard to count. She babied every one of them and they were truly spoiled. Nancy loved her family so much and she left every one with her final wish, "I love you all, you will miss me and I love you." Nancy is survived by her brother Brent (Ethyl) Rallison; sister Kathy (Gary) Vanderstappen; son Sam (Debbie) Samuelson; daughter Stacy Rallison; six grandchildren and one great grandchild; step-children Derek Valdez and Sonya Valdez. Nancy is preceded in death by both parents; step father Raymond L. Bennett; sisters Carol Smith and Lynn Wolverton; and brothers Larry, Ronny and Alonzo Rallison. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 - 36th St., Ogden, UT where Nancy and Gilbert will be laid to rest and Gilbert will get to put his coat around mom and take her home.
