Norma Kay Arnold, 80, passed away February 22, 2018. She was born April 28, 1937 to Barton E. and Margaret M. Jones in Ogden, Utah. Kay attended Pingree Elementary, Cheyenne High School and Weber State University. Kay moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming when she was 11 years old and lived there with her parents and one younger sister. She married William Arnold November 8, 1957 in the Warren Air Force Base Chapel located in Cheyenne, WY. Her husband was in the U.S. Navy and they moved to San Francisco, CA after their marriage and then moved to San Diego, CA living there until 1964 when they moved to the Ogden area. Three children were born to them during this time. Kay retired from civil service in 1986 and spent a lot of her time enjoying her family and extended family and was the godmother to Josh Carson and also enjoyed her nine grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren plus many friends and extended families. She enjoyed working as a volunteer in many civic organizations as the Jaycetts and Footprinters where she was awarded many awards in this endeavor. She was a very gifted lady and freely gave of herself and is a great loss to her family and friends. Kay is survived by her husband, Bill; daughters Christie M. Barber , Debra K. Miller and Natalie J. Large; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Kay is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; three sisters; one grandson; and one granddaughter. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836-36th St., Ogden, UT. There will be a viewing Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 6:00 8:00 pm at Leavitts Mortuary and from 10:00 10:45 am prior to the Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the favorite charity of your choice. Interment at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
