Phyllis Anderson Dolin, 92 passed away September 3, 2015. Born in Uintah on March 4, 1923, to Norman and Gretta Kendall Anderson, she had three siblings and graduated from Weber High School in 1941. During World War II she worked at Hill Air Force Base. She moved to Los Angeles to attend art school, and also worked at a florist shop in Hollywood, CA. Returning to Uintah, she served an LDS mission to Southern CA and later worked for the LDS Genealogical Society, where she met Christian Dolin. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple and later divorced. While married, she traveled aboard the Queen Elizabeth to see Germany, France, and Switzerland. Phyllis graduated from Weber State College with a bachelors degree in education. She taught for 19 years at Club Heights Elementary School in South Ogden. After raising the children alone and retiring, she finally had more time to enjoy her interests: gardening and arranging flowers, oil painting, bargain shopping and traveling. She loved being a grandmother, teaching art to her grandchildren and doing things with them. Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Patrice (Steve) Moore, Leslie Padgett; son, Paul Dolin; grandchildren, Laurie (Ben) Elmore, Jason (Shannon) Christian, Robert (Amanda) Moore, Stacey (Nicholas) Bluth, Braden (Cheri) Moore, Kell (Nadia), Alec, Tessa (Devin), and Ryker Padgett; and 24 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Inez Fife, Carl N. and Wendell K. Anderson. A Viewing will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 7, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Uintah LDS ward chapel, 6660 South, 1775 East, Ogden, Utah. Friends may visit with the family prior to services from 10:00 to 10:45 am. Interment at Uintah City Cemetery, 1500 East (Cemetery Road) 6700 South, Uintah, Utah.
