Phyllis Jeannine Butler December 3, 1928 - April 19 2015 Phyllis (Jeannine) Butler, 86, passed away April 19, 2015 peacefully in the arms of her daughter, Karen. She was born December 3, 1928 to Joseph and Violet Smith in Cedaredge, CO. She attended Ogden City Schools and graduated from Ogden High School. Jeannine married Milton G. Butler on June 30, 1947 in Logan, Utah and honeymooned in Jackson Hole, WY. They returned to Jackson Hole almost every year to spend their anniversary. Milton passed away May 13, 2013. Milton and Jeannine made many memories with family traveling all over the eleven western states in their truck and trailer. No matter where they went, she always called Colorado her home. Jeannine worked for the IRS for 20 years and made many wonderful friends and memories there. She had a full and wonderful life with her greatest accomplishment being her family. Jeannine is survived by her son, Douglas Butler, her daughters: Kristine Sprenkle and Karen Thomas; grandchildren: Alisha (Mike) Erickson, Austin (Angela) Sprenkle, Kristopher (Jay) Butler, Kacee Tucker, Kody Tucker and Katie Erickson; 15 great grandchildren; she also leaves behind two brothers: Jack and Greg Smith. Jeannine is preceded in death by her husband Milton, her parents Joseph and Violet Smith; two grandsons: Thomas Colby Sharp and Kelstin Douglas Sprenkle, along with numerous family members that she greatly missed.all together again. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Heritage Care Center for the wonderful care she received the last year and a half of her life. Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 24, 2015 at 11:00 am at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Friends may visit the family on Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden.
