Ronald Jerry Allred passed away at the age of 80 on January 25, 2018, after a short illness. He was born to Leona Wilson and William Martin on December 13, 1937, and raised by his stepfather Arland (Dick) Allred. He married Jeanette Brooks, they had five children and later divorced. Jerry later married Darlene Dykster Kirch; where he got four stepchildren, they were married for 38 years until his passing. Jerry worked as a millwright and heavy equipment operator for the Railroad, Western Zirconium, Marquardt, ICM and Thiokol where he retired. He also served in the Marines, Navy, and National Guard. He was a kind, generous neighbor and friend, always willing to help anyone in need. He had many skills and the knowledge to repair almost anything. Jerry is survived by his wife Darlene; daughters, Carol Connell (Robert)- KY, Debbie Delong (Sean)- NV, Valorie Kirch- UT, and Tina Bashford- UT; sons, Steven (Donna)- CA, Elton (Laura)- CA, Greg Kirch (Julie)- UT, and Danny Kirch- UT; sister Evelyn Stoddard (Mike)- UT; brother Les Allred (Darlene)- UT; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his daughter Brenda Allred- UT and brother Edward Allred. Funeral services will be held at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at 11:00 am. Family will greet friends prior to services from 9:45 10:45 am Services under the direction of Leavitts Mortuary. Interment will follow at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
