Obituary

Sandra Lee Cripe Landrie September 28, 1935~ June 17, 2014 Sandy (GG) passed away Tuesday, June 17th, after a prolonged battle with Alzheimers disease. She was born September 28, 1935, in New Paris, Indiana, to George and Nellie Cripe. She married Richard (Dick) Landrie April 22, 1956. Together they had four children, Dennis (Molly), Mesquite, NV; Troy (Dawn), Black Canyon City, AZ; Brooke, Bay St. Louis, MS; and Christopher, Annapolis, MD. In 1967, Dick returned to active duty in the US Navy. Together they traveled the United States and the world, with stops in Oxnard, California, Midway Island, Rota Spain, Pass Christian, MS and Homestead, Fl, before retiring in Annapolis, Maryland. In the process, they raised four children and made many lifelong friends. Sandys favorite memories were of those times traveling and living abroad and times spent at her and Dicks place on Chincoteague Island, Virginia, with kids and grand kids. Sandy was preceded in death by her husband Dick, daughter Brooke, and brother Rene. She is survived by her three sons, nine grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. Sandys family would like to thank the staff at Manor Care, South Ogden for their outstanding care and support. Also, thanks to BrightOn Hospice for their assistance in the final weeks of Sandys life. Sandy will be interred with her husband at the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, Maryland. Friends may visit her family Monday, June 23, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary 836-36th Street, Ogden, UT. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimers Association or the South Ogden Manor Care Hug Fund.
