Thomas "Tom" Lee Kitchens, 71, of Roy, UT passed away November 6, 2018, in Roy, Utah. He was born April 8, 1947, to Homer Kitchens and Ruth Booth in Los Angeles, CA. He married Laura Salomone on July 19, 1986 in Arcadia, CA. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in construction. Tom was a loving son, brother, uncle, husband, father, and grandfather. He was loved and admired by many that saw his strong will to live and love of life. He is survived by his wife, Laura Salomone Kitchens (Roy, UT); daughters, Sheilah Kitchens Wells (North Ogden, UT) and Sarah Kitchens Piirainen (North Ogden, UT); sons, Tony DelRosso (Roy, UT), Zach Ward (Roy, UT), Michael Thomas Kitchens (Roy, UT), and Kasey Kitchens (Roy, UT); brother, Garry Kitchens (Colorado); and eight grandchildren. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Booth and Homer N Kitchens; and his siblings, Ruth Ann Kitchens Nichols, Carolyn Kitchens Jones, and James Kitchens. A viewing will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 6:00 8:00 pm and Monday, November 12, 2018, from 10:00 10:45 am at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, UT; followed by Memorial Services at 11:00 am. Interment at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park. The family is eternally grateful to all the Dr.s, Nurses, and CNAs that helped and guided them in Toms care.
