Wayne Meisner, 91, passed away November 25, 2013. He was born, June 22, 1922 to Neils and Irene Eggington Meisner in Ogden, UT. Wayne graduated from Ogden High School and Weber State College. He married Georgia Anna Bartlett on September 15, 1950 in Santa Anna, CA. They have been married for 63 years. Wayne was a Supply Inspector at Hill Air Force Base. After retirement he drove a school bus for Ogden School District. Wayne served as a Sgt. in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was honorably discharged from the Marines and served in WWII and the Korean War. He was a member of Unity Masonic Lodge #18 AF & AM, Scottish Rite, & El-Kalah Shrine. He was Past Associate Bethel Guardian Bethel #2, Jobs Daughters International and member of Glory to God American Catholic Church. Wayne is survived by his wife, Georgia; a daughter, Kathy (John) Kinney and their children Sarah (David) Phillips and Rachel Kinney; a daughter, Melissa (Kim) Nelson and their children, Rainy (Sheldon) Straber, David (Beth) Nelson and Dustin Nelson and a daughter Della (Brad) Elton and her daughter, Bonnie OBrien; also, three great-grandchildren, Natalie Straber, Alyssa Straber, and Louis Nelson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Neils and Irene; a sister, Elizabeth Pincombe and a brother, Sterling Meisner. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 29, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah. A viewing will be held from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary prior to services. Interment will be at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
