ADonna Lee Price Aeschlimann, our devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, teacher, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on September 20, 2026, surrounded by her children and heavenly angels after a courageous battle with cancer.

While our hearts ache at her absence, we find peace in knowing her joyful reunion was long awaited. We have no doubt that our father was there to welcome her home and that, with the grace of the dancer she had always been, she leapt into his loving arms.

ADonna was born on November 26, 1938, in Ogden, Utah, to Leland Louis Price and Geneva Maudie Johnson Price. From the very beginning, she possessed a spirited sense of adventure. As a child, she disliked wearing shoes, and it was not uncommon to find her happily barefoot, exploring the world around her near her parents' store.

At the age of eight, she joined her older sisters, Carol Colleen Price (Moore) and Margaret Kathleen Price (Browning), in the study of dance. What began as lessons quickly blossomed into an extraordinary opportunity. The sisters trained not only locally but also in New York, England, France, and Cuba, learning from some of the world's most renowned dance instructors. Those experiences inspired Leland and Geneva to purchase the Reed School of Dance, which later became the Price School of Dance. Within the walls of that dance studio, ADonna discovered a lifelong love of teaching and mentoring others. She later attended Weber State University and the University of Utah.

Following a memorable trip to Europe, ADonna met the love of her life, Richard Lee Aeschlimann. It was love at first sight. Together they built a life filled with laughter, family, and unwavering devotion. They were married on February 4, 1960, and spent the next 61 years doing what they loved most, side by side.

Together they raised four beloved children: MelaLee Aeschlimann, whom she affectionately called "my beautiful songbird"; Leland Richard Aeschlimann, "my handsome, happy, and mischievous son"; Margaret Anne Aeschlimann Karegeannes, "my beautiful, brilliant daughter"; and William Albert Aeschlimann, "my handsome, devoted, intelligent son."

ADonna spent 19 cherished years serving as a teacher's aide with the Ogden School District. She found exquisite joy in helping students with disabilities and had a remarkable gift for seeing the worth and potential in every child she encountered. Her kindness, patience, and encouragement left a lasting impact on countless lives.

A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, ADonna loved the gospel with all her heart. She found great joy in serving her Heavenly Father and never missed an opportunity to share her testimony through both her words and her example.

Perhaps ADonna's greatest gift was creating a home where everyone felt loved and welcome. She delighted in gathering family around the table. Every meal seemed to include four courses, and no one was ever allowed to leave hungry. In fact, she usually insisted everyone eat well past the point of being full. Neighborhood children somehow developed a remarkable ability to appear just as a warm loaf of homemade bread emerged from the oven. Coincidence? We think not.

Together, ADonna and Richard had a gift for making ordinary moments feel magical. Holidays in their home felt like Hallmark movies brought to life, filled with cherished traditions, delicious food, laughter that echoed through the house, and a love that wrapped itself around everyone fortunate enough to be there. Family was their greatest treasure, and no amount of time together ever seemed enough. After hours of visiting, they would often respond in perfect unison, “You don't need to run off so soon!”

ADonna’s legacy lives on in the lessons she taught, the traditions she created, the faith she shared, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. Those who knew her will remember her generous heart, her joyful spirit, and her remarkable ability to make everyone feel at home.

ADonna is survived by her four children: MelaLee Aeschlimann; Leland Richard Aeschlimann (Shamra); Margaret Anne Karegeannes; and William Albert Aeschlimann (Kristen); along with 10 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, who were among the greatest joys of her life.

A viewing will be held on October 8, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Funeral services will be held October 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Waterfall Canyon Ward Chapel, 3254 Polk Avenue, Ogden, with an additional viewing held an hour prior from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the Relief Society Room.

Interment will follow at the Uintah Cemetery, 1540 East 6450 South, Uintah.
