Obituary

Albino de la Cruz, 74, passed away at his home. He was born in December of 1936, to Apolinar and Juanita de la Cruz in Benavides, Texas. Albino graduated from Texas AM University. He was a confirmed bachelor. His friends knew him as Al. He as the oldest of seven children . He is survived by his brothers, Abelardo and wife, Cuala, de la Cruz; Arturo and wife, Guadalupe (Ita), de la Cruz; Aaron de la Cruz; and sisters, Sylvia Alvarez, Aminta Cruz, and Adriana Barrera. He is also survived by his 15 nieces and nephews and their children. Known to his family as Uncle Bebe, he was a generous, loving and caring brother and uncle whom family members respected. He was trained as a chemical engineer and worked many years at Hill Air Force Base until his retirement. He was always interested in learning; he was an avid skier in his younger days and loved to travel and experience new places. Albino was a terrific dancer and an active member of his church, St. James Catholic Church. Funeral arrangements will be held at Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi, Texas.
