Obituary

Alfred Richard Bottiger, a beloved dad, son, grandpa, and Air Force veteran, passed away on July 6, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was a man who found joy in the simple things in life, especially fishing with his family and his nephews, Josh and Nick Lindquist and Carter Andrushko. He also enjoyed hiking, spending time with his family in Park City, listening to music, and playing the flute. He also loved watching the sunsets, soaking in those peaceful moments. Sitting by campfires were some of his favorite ways to connect with those he loved.

Throughout his life he was known for his kindness, unwavering wisdom, and the deep love he had for his family. He was always willing to help his family and friends with anything, whether it was big or small.

His service in the Air Force showed his courage and dedication to his country, qualities that stayed with him throughout his life.

As a dad, he was a guiding light. Always supportive and encouraging, teaching important life lessons through both words and actions. His pride and joy was his son, Tim, and his three granddaughters. As a son, he honored his roots and family traditions, carrying them forward with pride. As a grandpa, he was supportive of all the sports and activities that his three granddaughters were in.

He was a source of warmth and comfort, creating memories that will be cherished for generations. He touched the hearts of many with his generous spirit and gentle nature. His legacy is one of love, strength, and resilience that will continue to inspire and comfort his family and friends. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on through the stories he shared, the values he taught, and the love he gave so freely.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Bottiger, son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Diana Bottiger, and his three granddaughters, Kiyanna, Nashae, and Evalynn Bottiger.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Charles and Lorraine Bottiger, his brother, James Dore and his twin brother Alvin Wayne Bottiger.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 11:00 A.M., located at Leavitt’s Mortuary & Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah.
