Alfred Byron Wade, 87, peacefully returned to our Father in Heaven Saturday, April 13, 2013.Alfred, known by loved ones as A.B. was born in Glenwood, TX on august 6, 1925 to Paul and Susie Wade. He married Donna Lou McAllister on April 11, 1946. A.B. had an unwavering testimony of his Savior and was very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the Sunday School, Elders Quorum, as a ward executive secretary, Scout Master and as a member of the Bishopric.A.B. served as a radioman on the LST 461 during WWII. He was a man of many trades; a dairy man, carpenter, auto parts salesman, and retired from the Standard Examiner Circulation Dept after 30 years.He loved his grandkids and adored his great-grandkids. His family wil ltruly miss him.A.B. is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Donna. His five children: Byron (Carol) Wade of Porter, TX; Bruce (Annette) Wade of Sacramento, CA; Daria (Larry) Newton of Morgan, UT; Brent (Annette) Wade of Riverdale, UT and Bart (Jode) Wade of Willard, UT; 19 grandchildren and their spouses and 45 great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters: LaRee (Bob) Mitchell, EvaNell Arbon, and three brothers: E. Gene (Joy) Wade, Rowan (Verdena) Wade, Louis (Sharon) Wade. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters: Regina Hooton, Leotha Siagowski, Pauline Brooks.Funeral services will be held Wed. April 17th at the Lorin Farr 4th Ward Building, 15th and Liberty in Ogden, UT. A viewing will be held at Leavitts Chapel of Flowers Mortuary, 836 36th street in Ogden. A viewing will be held at Leavitts Chapel April 16th from 6-8 p.m. and Wed morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the Lorin Farr 4th Ward and the Morgan 7th Ward for their kind service.
