Alta Mae Seaman, 93, passed away on March 29, 2012 due to incidence of age. She was born on November 29, 1918 to Ross and Lulu Higgins in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She graduated from Black Foot High School. Alta married Harold F. Seaman in Elko, Nevada on February 20, 1945. She was a beautician in her younger years. She and Harold lived in many states while he served in the Air Force. They settled in Ogden, Utah in 1956.She loved her family and friends. She was always there to listen and care for everyone around her. Alta was always full of love and had a big heart. She enjoyed a good joke and always loved a good laugh. Alta was a shopper, and always found the best bargains. She made friends with all the clerks in different stores. She also enjoyed going to Wendover.Alta was a Christian Woman. She is survived by two daughters; Delores Drake of Ogden, Utah, Sharon Simpson of Plain City, Utah, her son-in-law Jarvis Bassett of Ogden, Utah, 3 grandchildren; Wayne Timmreck, Shane Drake, Jennie Moran and 4 great grandchildren. Alta was preceded in death by her husband, Harold F. Seaman, one brother, Loren Higgins and her daughter Karen Bassett. Graveside services will be held for Alta at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Ben Lomond Cemetery, 526 E. 2850 N. North, Ogden, family will greet friends one hour prior to services at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden.
