Alvin Arthur Kunau, loving husband, father, brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at the age of 89. Alvin "Al" was born on October 28, 1933 to Adam and Mary (Repp) Kunau. He spent his life living in the west, including Montana, Colorado, California, and enjoying the last 35 years in Northern Utah. Al married the love of his life Donna (Ambrosch) Kunau and they spent 57 happy years together. Al and Donna were blessed with seven children. Al was devoted to God and his family, including watching over his nieces and nephew Shirley, Claire, Sue, and Glenn. He enjoyed farming, reading, and studying. Al was a devoted football fan and loved rooting for the underdog, the Detroit Lions his favorite team. Al is preceded in death by his parents Adam and Mary (Repp) Kunau, eight siblings, his wife Donna (Ambrosch) Kunau, daughter Karen Stevens, and son Richard Kunau. He is survived by his children Cindy Blackmon, Loren Kunau, Julie (Robert) Watson, Lloyd Kunau, Jennifer (Eric) Sommers, nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
