IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Amy Lynn
Hartmann Schumer
August 2, 1984 – May 28, 2025
Amy Hartmann Schumer, a beloved wife, daughter, sister, auntie and friend too many, passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 40 on May 28th, 2025 in Hooper, Utah. Amy was born on August 2nd, 1984, to Gordon Hartmann and Lorrie Savoie in Ogden, Utah.
Amy graduated from Bonneville High in 2003. She then proceeded to have various jobs until she landed at America First, where she worked for 12 years. Within those years she made many friends, and had a major impact on all those she spoke to as a Loan Processor.
On October 3rd, 2010, Amy met the love of her life David (Dave) Schumer. They moved into together in November of 2010 and soon after they married on October 11th, 2012, in Hooper, Utah. To Dave, Amy was his rare unicorn. They lived together with their fur babies, Freddy and BeanBean (now deceased), Izzy, Sampson and Mocha.
Amy was always so full of love, life and laughter. She had the biggest and most tender heart that loved big but could be hurt so easily. Wherever she went, Amy made such a huge impact on those she encountered. She would always go out of her way to make people smile, and all those who knew her will always remember her contagious smile, loud laughter and overall her radiant soul.
She spent many days at the race track in Montana supporting her nieces and nephews. Amy enjoyed camping with her family, hosting bonfires and spending time with those she loved. From watching Hallmark movies during the winter season, to helping her husband Dave set up their many blow molds for the Schumer Christmas Village, Amy was known to love the Christmas season.
Amy was and will always be her mother's best friend. The two were inseparable. From the daily facetime calls to the weekly bachelor streaming sessions, they were always laughing and enjoying each other's company. Some of the best time spent together were their mother/daughter trips that they took. That is something Lorrie will always hold close to her heart.
Amy and her dad were close as well. She enjoyed going over for Christmas Eve dinner/gift exchanges, and thanksgiving dinner with all her extended family. Amy had inherited 2 new sisters (Melanie and Stephanie) through Gordon and Debbra's marriage. Melanie and Stephanie were great sisters to her, and the memories created between them are something they won't forget. Memories of family barbecue's, that often involved many water balloon fights, and just getting together with many aunts and uncles at their homes is something they will sincerely miss.
Though the age gap between Amy and Zach was big, Amy never failed to express the love she had for her baby brother. She was known as the fun sister. The many late night conversations and side by side drives, bowling and swimming dates are some of Zach's most fond memories that he will forever cherish.
Amy is preceded in death by her grandparents Glen & Janice Johnson, and Darwin & Natalie Hartmann, along with many aunts and uncles.
Amy is survived by her loving husband David (Dave) Schumer, parents Gordon (Deb) Hartmann and Lorrie (Doren) Savoie, Dave's parents Jay and Roylene Schumer, two brothers Zachary (Starlene and little Reyna) Maffet, Jed Curran and two sisters Melanie (John) Stacey and Stephanie Thiede, Dave's siblings Julie, Christy and Travis, along with three fur babies Izzy, Sampson and Mocha. She also leaves behind the entire Schumer family who so loved her and treated her as one of their own.
