On Tuesday Oct. 23, 2012 our dear brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, Andrew (Andy) Rochell, peacefully passed away at his home after a short and courageous battle with cancer. His last days and hours were spent surrounded by family and friends who love him dearly. He is at peace now and has joined other loved ones who went before him.Andrew was born March 26, 1946 to Ardle (Duke) and Edith Todd Rochell. He married Pamela Simonson on Aug 27, 1966. They were partners in life until her passing in 2004. They had three children, Michael (Kim Berkley) Rochell, Jeffery Rochell Brandi Bucher. They have seven grandchildren, Chris, Samantha, Ashley, Amber, Nicole, Andrew Sydney and a step-grandson, Austin Bucher. They have three great-grandchildren with a fourth arriving in December. They also have numerous nieces and nephews.Andrew resided in the Ogden area his entire life and worked at Interpace Brick for more than 40 years until his retirement in 2009.Andrew was a member of the LDS church.He is survived by his children, Mike, Jeff and Brandi; his brothers, James (Hattie) Rochell and Randy (Kathy) Rochell; his sisters, Marie Workman, Francis (Vern) Kilfoyle, Lucille (Jack Smith) Staples, Helen (Ken) Taylor; and a special friend, Carma Rochell. Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Norma, and his loving wife, Pam. Andrew was an avid outdoorsman. Hunting, fishing, camping and snowmobiling were some of his favorite activities. Andrew was a member of the Scare Canyon Ranch Association and the time spent with family and friends at the cabin holds the most cherished memories.Andrew, we love you dearly and will miss you sorely, our hearts are broken. We know that you are now comfortable and at peace. Funeral services will be held at Leavitts mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Family will meet with friends from 12:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the services. Interment will be held at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
