Ann Marie Hirschi, 86 passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023. She was born on July 30, 1936 in Cedar City, Utah to William Bryant Dover and Zola Smith Dover. She lived in Cedar City her entire childhood. She graduated from Cedar City High School and attended one quarter of College before getting engaged to Clark.
Ann Marie married Clark Hirschi on December 21, 1954 in the Saint George LDS Temple. They were married 66 years at the time of Clarks passing in January 2021. After their wedding they moved to Logan, UT while Clark finished his schooling. They then lived in Pasadena, CA, Cedar City, UT, Puerto Rico, Blanding, UT, Clearfield, UT, finally settling in Sunset, UT in 1963 where they raised their 5 children.
Ann Marie was a homemaker, staying home to raise her children until her youngest was in school. She then entered the workforce working at Freeport Center, Cutter Lab, then as a checker at Harmons for 10 years.
Ann Marie was very talented with crafting. She enjoyed ceramics, making piggy banks for her children and a Christmas Caroler set that has been displayed in her home at Christmas time for decades. She crocheted baby blessing outfits for her grandchildren, Swedish Weave blankets for each grandchild to be given at the time they married, and numerous cross stitch pieces, some that won awards at the County Fair.
She was very social and cherished her lifelong friends. She enjoyed attending Club and going to lunch weekly with the "Out to Lunch Bunch".
Annie and Clark enjoyed square dancing in their earlier years. Annie bowled on a womens league and on a couples league with Clark for many years. After quitting the leagues, they continued to bowl every Friday afternoon when they werent traveling.
As a couple, she and Clark enjoyed playing card games with friends. They also enjoyed travelling cross-country in their motor home with the WIT club, and with Ann Maries sisters, Gerry and Joan, and their husbands.
Ann Marie was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a strong testimony in our Savior Jesus Christ. She held many church callings.
Ann Maries greatest accomplishment was raising her children. Together with Clark, they unconditionally loved and nurtured their children and grandchildren. Teaching by example to be responsible, hard-working, honest, and kind.
Ann Marie is survived by her 5 children, Teri (David) Rigby, Mark (Michelle) Hirschi, Susan Asante, David (Sherry) Hirschi, Linda (Roger) Rickenbach, 30 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Joan Wendel and brother-in law Carl Osborn.
Ann Marie was preceded in death by her sweetheart of 66 years, Clark, her parents Bill and Zola Dover, her sister Geraldine Osborn, brother Boyd Dover, sister-in-law Norma Dover, brother-in-law Bob Wendel and great-grandson Gabe Billmire.
We as a family would like to thank the staff at Quail Meadow and AFI for the care they provided Ann for the past 2 years. We greatly appreciate the love and concern expressed to her and us.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 7, 2023 at 11:00 am, with a viewing preceding at 10:00 am. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th street., Ogden Ut.
Ann Marie will be buried in the Clinton Cemetery immediately following.
