Annette
Williams
October 5, 1939 – May 30, 2026
Annette T. Williams
1939 - 2026
It is with profound sadness and with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Annette Tarran Williams. She left peacefully on May 30, 2026 at the age of 86, surrounded by her loving family.
Annette was born October 5, 1939 in Ogden, Utah. She was the cherished daughter of Verda Victoria Tracy Tarran and Ernest Arthur Tarran. She lived a beautiful life woven with resilience, laughter, and endless love.
After graduating from Ogden High School, she attended Weber State University for her associate’s degree, and then she went on to receive her bachelor’s degree from Utah State University. She decided to use her education to become an elementary school teacher, where she was able to help many students learn and grow.
She married the love of her life, John Davenport Williams on September 2, 1960 in the Salt Lake Temple. They shared 42 wonderful years together until his passing on February 24, 2002. She remained a cornerstone of our family throughout that difficult time in our lives. She was a devoted mother who gave her all to her family. She will be remembered for the important presence she had in our lives, and her unwavering dedication to those she loved.
Annette had many passions and interests throughout her life. She loved to make crafts, and when she was younger she would stay up late into the night making wonderful things to enhance her home. She would often use her time and skills helping family and friends, and for sharing her creative talents with others. She had an eye for design, and many agreed that no one decorated their home as beautifully as she did. She also loved to travel. She traveled the world with our father until his passing, and then she continued to travel with family and friends until she couldn’t any longer.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and is survived by her children, Kelly and Mary Jo Williams, Bradley and Linda Williams, and Michele and Randy Sommers; her adoring grandchildren, Daniel, Kim, Jessica, Spencer, Stephen, Victoria, Brittany, Joshua, Miranda, Jaren, Zachary, Allie, Brandan, Cassie, Erica, Austin, Joshua, Krystal, Alisha, and Jarom; as well as her 20 great-grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed and forever carried in our hearts.
