Antoon "Tony" EvenhuisOgden-Utah Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Tony Evenhuis, passed away December 10, 2011. He was born June 21, 1935 in Groningen, Netherlands to Georg Evenhuis and Margaretha Dalmolen. He was married to Syske Tolsmas on October 23, 1957 and later divorced. He married Connie Jacobson on December 17, 1976. Their marriage was solemnized on August 5, 1994 in the Salt Lake Temple. One of the proudest times was when he became an American Citizen. Tony s occupation was as a Security Officer/EMT for Autoliv. He later retired in January of 2000. Tony loved his family, the Denver Broncos, playing Santa and his pets. He was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as a counselor in the Bishopric, a Temple Worker and a Gospel Doctrine Teacher. He was loved by many special friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Vickie.Tony is survived by his wife Connie, daughter, Kathy Weaver, sons, George (Sherry), Eric (Gina), brother, Bill Evenhuis, 17 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren, Steven Kristofferson, Robert (Dina) Kristofferson and Thomas Kristofferson. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Family will greet friends on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and 10:00 to 10:45 am prior to services also at the mortuary. Interment will be at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
