IN LOVING MEMORY OF
April Jean
Lewis
April 13, 1950 – November 25, 2025
To our friends and family,
Our hearts are deeply heavy as we share the passing of April Lewis, who left us on the evening of November 25th, 2025. While our grief is immense, so is the love, laughter, and unforgettable fire she leaves behind.
April was many things — strong, honest, sarcastic in all the best ways, and never afraid to tell you exactly what you needed to hear, even if you weren't quite ready for it. Her humor could cut through the hardest days, her sternness kept everyone in line, and her love, even when wrapped in tough truth, was always steady and fiercely loyal. She lived life with a boldness that made her impossible to ignore and even harder to forget.
April is survived by her beloved children, Christina Barnett and Laurence Turner, who carry her strength and wit forward. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter and love through her grandchildren: Alyssa Lemere, Breana Downard, Joseph Lemere, Maddison Swasey, Tristan Swasey, and Brantley Swasey. Her memory also lives on in her great-grandchildren: Ashton Barnes, Jaxon Downard, Jayden Lemere, Bella Lemere, Leah Barnes, Cole Downard, Ryland Lemere, Noah Lemere, and Dawson Peirce — each one another chapter of the story she started.
In true April fashion, she left us with plenty of jokes, life lessons, and "don't make me come over there" moments to hold onto. She loved fiercely, protected unapologetically, and lived with a spirit that refused to dim, no matter what life threw her way.
As we honor her life, we ask for your prayers, your support, and your shared memories. Hold your loved ones close, laugh even on the hard days, and speak your truth boldly — she would expect nothing less.
Thank you for surrounding our family with love during this difficult time.
