Artemis Evelyn Vetas Green's Obituary

Artemis Evelyn Vetas Green; born December 8, 1923 at 7:10 p.m. Artemis was a faithful Greek Orthodox. She attended Sacred Heart and then graduated from Ogden High School. She worked at Glenn Brothers Music where she met the love of her life, and husband, Val S. Green. She was also employed with Hill Air Force Base as the office manager for the F-16 Fighting Falcons and retired from Hill. Artie then completed real estate school and received her Realtors License and successfully worked for Century 21 Realty. Artie was involved in the Ladies Association of Golf City; along with exercising at the gym. She enjoyed dominos, Scrabble, and bridge with her best friend Jenny Contos. She also really enjoyed reading books by her favorite authors, Danielle Steel and Nora Roberts, and loved her crosswords. Her greatest accomplishments were her four sons whom she loved more than anything or anyone, and whom she lived for. Artie is preceded in death by her father Sam Vetinietes Vetas, her mother Hellen Vasialakopolas, and brother Basil Vetas. She is survived by her four sons: Michael S. Green and longtime love Jennifer; Dennis V. Green, Mark J. Green and Jenny, and Kimm S. Green and Sylvia. Artie also had six adoring grand children, ten great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., at the Greek Orthodox Church of Transfiguration, 674-42nd Street, Ogden, UT. A viewing for family and friends will be held Thursday, August 21st from 6-8 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836-36th Street, Ogden. Interment at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park. Artie was the most amazingly beautiful and loving mother. A mother who can take the place of all others; but whos place no one else can take. She gave all of herself; and the unconditional love she showed and the love she touched our lives with will comfort us and live in our hearts for eternity. "We love you mom and will miss you so much!"
