Barbara Joy Bingham passed away peacefully after spending the day with family on September 18, 2014. She was born June 12, 1929 to Olaf and Fanny Lassen in Ogden, Utah. Barbara attended Ogden High School. She married John W. Bingham in Ogden, Utah on October 22, 1948. She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a member of the Washington Terrace 7th Ward. She enjoyed bowling, golfing and trips to Wendover with friends and family. She retired from Stop-n-Shop as a meat wrapper and was one of the first meat wrappers. She was a wonderful mother who taught great principles and values to her kids. She adored her grandchildren; always taking care of them, family camping trips and playing games. There are not words to explain how her children loved her. She will be dearly missed. Barbara is survived by sister, Gloria E. Griggs; sister-in-law Sheila Lassen; children: Craig J. Bingham, Brad L. Bingham (Melanie), Kurt J. Bingham, Leslie Jordan (Kevin); grandchildren: Trinity Jordan (Ami), Tyler J. Jordan, Kiersten E. Jordan, Erik J. Bingham, Isabel J. Jordan; great granddaughters: Madison Jordan, and Berlyn Jordan. She is preceded in death by her parents Olaf and Fanny Lassen; sister Marilyn Lassen, husband John W. Bingham and Brother Gerald L. Lassen. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park, 836-36th St., Ogden, UT. There will be a viewing at Leavitts Mortuary Monday, September 22 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and 1 hour prior to the service from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm.
