Barbara Joan Turner Hicks passed away March 9, 2016 peacefully in her sleep. She was born July 29, 1954 to Charles and Marjorie Turner in Grand Junction, Colorado. Barbara graduated from Grand Junction High School. She married Randall R. Hicks in Grand Junction Colorado on March 18, 1978. Barbara was truly one of a kind. Her ability to laugh and tease was like no other. She knew how to make anyone feel better with a bible verse, a homemade item, or even a shopping trip. Barbara loved with a fierce passion that is not comparable. From her countless students to her beloved family, she was our lighthouse. Her passion and dedication could not be argued and her competitive spirit could not be reckoned with. Barbara flew away with Jesus before we were ready but as she always said, dont cry for my life, celebrate my freedom with Jesus. We thank you Barbara for giving us your whole heart. Now its your turn to ride down the Kings highway. Barbara is survived by her husband, Randy; children, Lanie (Josh) Holbrook, Todd, A.J. (Hilary) and three grandchildren, Anasten, Luke, Cardyn. She is preceded in death by her mother and father; sisters, Janet, Laurie and Margaret. Memorial Services will be held on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 5:00 pm at the Ogden Valley Community Church, 7390 East 200 South, Huntsville, Utah. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Ogden Valley Church, PO Box 291, Huntsville, Utah, 84317 to be used towards the childrens ministry.
