Barbara Ann Redden

March 31, 1936 - May 11, 2026

Our very special Aunt, Barbara “Bob” Redden, age 90, passed away May 11, 2026, following complications from a fall.

She was born Barbara Ann Griffin on March 31, 1936, in Blytheville, Arkansas, to Louis M. and Dosha Griffin. She was the youngest of four children and lost her mother at the early age of 4 and relied on her older sister Peggy and her father for her upbringing.

She married James Redden in 1963 and they lived in Utah for the rest of their lives. They never had children of their own but were very involved in the lives of their nieces and nephews. They also helped care for several children in their home and were very close with many of them.

Auntie Bob was a friend to many.

She enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of those she loved. She loved quilting and made many family heirlooms. She loved a clean house. She enjoyed cooking and baking and good old Southern BBQ. She loved family gatherings and will be dearly missed.

Barbara is survived by her sister, Peggy Spaeth, five nieces and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, brothers, and parents.

Her final wishes included not having a memorial service. The family will honor those wishes and keep her memory in their hearts.

Internment of her ashes will be next to her husband at Leavitt’s Mortuary & Aultorest Memorial Park, Ogden, Utah.
