Beth Ott Winward
March 1st, 1938 May 10th, 2014
Beth Ott Winward, 76, passed away on May 10th, 2014 after a courageous 4 year battle with Neuro-endocrine cancer. She fought cancer with the most positive attitude and in a dignified manner, which is how she always lived her life! She was born on March 1st, 1938 in Tropic, Utah to Ursel Ott and Leola Riding. She graduated from Bryce Valley High School in Tropic, Utah in 1956.
She married Grant B. Park and they moved to Ogden in 1964. They later divorced, but remained friends and raised their 3 children. She was a hairstylist for over 45 years, where she had a salon in her home so she could be at home to raise her children. She loved her profession and ALL of her clients! She also worked as a consultant for several hair care products, sold Avon and worked at Nordstrom in SLC for a short time. She had a strong work ethic and could do just about anything she put her mind to and instilled this in her children.
She loved to garden, decorate her home, shop for just about anything, spending time with her pets, family and friends. She had many close, loving friends who she enjoyed spending time going to lunch, movies and concerts with. There wasnt a stray animal that she didnt give or find a home.
Beth is survived by her children, Lori Mecham, Brett J. Park (Kathy) and Terri Park-Thompsen (Kim); grandchildren, Brannon (Michelle), Hayes (Lacey), Wyatt (Cheyenne), Nikki (Giuliano), Tawna (Charlie), Troy, Kimberly and Carson. She also has 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother and sister, Gail Cloward.
