Obituary

Bethel Marker Parkinson, 87 passed away on June 12, 2012 at the Country Pines Assisted Living center in Clinton, Utah. She was born on May 18, 1925 to James Luce and Afton Williams Marker; in Ogden, Utah. Bethel graduated from Ogden High School. She then married Don G. Parkinson on May 23, 1945 in Ogden, Utah. Don and Bethel spent 58 years together enjoying their family and each other. Don passed away on August 29, 2002.Bethel was a member of the LDS Church and Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She enjoyed family vacations, reunions and road trips with Don. She is survived by Don W. "Bill" Parkinson and Roger A. Parkinson. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Bethel was preceded in death by her husband Don, and daughter, Susan Parkinson. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the charity of your choice in her honor. Services for Bethel will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 15, 2012, at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden.
