Beverly J. Chournos, passed away from complications from a cerebral hemorrhage on June 4, 2012. She was born on October 14, 1947, to Clarence Potter and Vivian M. Smith. On March 9, 1968 she married Christos E. Chournos. They later divorced, but remained very close friends and enjoyed their grandchildren together. Beverly worked as a dispatcher for Roy City Police Department, and then retired from McKay Dee Hospital in 2009, after 14 years. She was currently working at Safe Harbor, a job she enjoyed very much. Beverly was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved her calling as a Primary Teacher and the children she taught. Beverly is survived by her daughter, Ellaine (Tyle) Ramshur, her son Elias C. Chournos, her grandsons, CJ, Luke, Noah and her great grandson Daxton, two granddaughters, Riley and Kelton. She was preceded in death by her ex husband, mother, step father, and brother. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses for their compassionate care they gave to Beverly at Davis Medical Center. Graveside services will be held at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street, Ogden, on Monday, June 11, 2012, at 2:00 p.m.Beverly will be greatly missed by her kids, grandkids and her many friends.
