Billie Wayne Patrick Sr. of Clearfield, Utah, passed away February 8, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. He lived 84 glorious years.
His life began on August 27, 1938. His father, Thomas Lee Robinson Patrick, and his mother, Jewell Marie Horn, lived in Carterville, Illinois. At the age of 19, he married his best friend, Patricia Ann Smith, on March 23, 1957. Their blissful marriage of nearly 66-years included welcoming five children into the world: Billie Wayne Jr., Bobby Jo, Bruce Lane, Brent DeVaughn, and Babette Ann. They adopted Danny Martin Sam Jr. and embraced Raynette Smith into their family.
His life included three decades of honorable civil service on Hill Air Force Base, where he worked as a scientist. After that exciting career concluded, he went on to work at Auto Zone for two more decades where he shared his love of cars with others. He was an accomplished mathematician, mechanic, and carpenter, among his many skills. Above all else, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be remembered for the love he had for his family, his smile, his willingness to help others, and his endless curiosity for the world.
He was preceded in death by four of his siblings: Norman Patrick, Frieda Thomson, Wilma John, and Karen Groat, as well as two of his sons, Bobby Jo and Danny Martin.
He is survived by his wife, Trish, and his children Billie Wayne Jr. of Clearfield; Dana (wife of Bobby Jo) of Houston TX; Bruce Lane (Heidi) of Clearfield, UT; Brent DeVaughn (Michele) of Clearfield, UT; MaryBeth (wife of Danny Martin), of Oceanside, CA; Babette Ann (Dean) of Ogden, UT; Raynette (James), of Arizona; his sister Joyce (Don), of Bakersfield, CA; his 19 grandchildren, and his many great grandchildren.
We love you forever, our sweet Bill, Dad, and Papa.
