Blanche Mary Watkins, 87, our precious mother returned home to our Father in Heaven on September 7, 2011.She was born March 4, 1924 to Rudolph Ackerman and Mary Klatka Ackerman in Loup City, Nebraska. Blanche attended schools in Nebraska, and Wells, Nevada. She married David R. Watkins Sr., on April 11, 1951.She became a care giver to her 4 siblings after the death of her mother. She then moved to Utah and married her sweetheart. She was employed at Hill Air Force Base, became a mother of 4 children and worked on the family farm. She enjoyed helping others, listening to western music, tending to her rose garden, horses and baking. She was a sweet loving grandma and often played the harmonica for her granddaughters. She was a very spiritual person and always had a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye. She was a simple person with a fun quirky personality. She was loved by all that knew her. Blanch is survived by one brother, Stanley Ackerman, her daughter Shawn C. Glenn, three sons: Thomas D. Watkins, Shayne A. Watkins, David R. Watkins Jr., 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 1 to be born later this year. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, 3 sisters, 1 granddaughter and 1 daughter in law. Graveside services for Blanche will be held on Monday, September 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park. Family will meet with friends at 10:00 a.m. prior to services at Leavitts Mortuary.
