Bonnie Mae Stewart DeweyBonnie Mae Stewart Dewey, passed away Sept. 28, 2011. Bonnie was born Sept. 5, 1927 to Edson Jennie Searle Stewart in Ogden, Utah. On November 21st of 1948, Bonnie married the love of her life, Carl L. Dewey in Elko, NV. She worked as a cook for the Ogden School District and retired after 28 years of service from the Defense Depot Ogden in 1990.Bonnie lived in the Ogden area her entire life, spending 50 years in her home in South Ogden and the last 3 years at Apple Village assisted living in Layton, where she had wonderful experiences and many new friends . Her favorite things in life revolved around family reunions in the gambling meccas of the west. Bingo was her game of choice. The only thing that came before Bingo was her favorite country tunes that always gave her an opportunity to light up the dance floor. She cherished every Christmas and birthday, for each of her grandchildren. Bonnie is survived by her children, Craig Dewey, Clovis,CA; Danielle (David) Linn, Clinton, UT. and Karren (Ted) Lazenby of Layton, UT., 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters Jean Williams, San Jose, CA; Iris McCreary, Ogden, UT.; brother -in-law Donald Allgeier and sister-in-law Jennie Stewart. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl, brothers Edson and Richard and sister Eunice.Graveside services will be held at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park , 836 36th Street in Ogden on Monday October 3, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. A private viewing for family will be held one hour prior to services. Interment in Aultorest Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to your favorite charity.
