Boyd Heiner Andersen, 62, passed away in his home on April 2, 2013. He was born on February 21, 1951 in Montrose, Colorado and was adopted by the late Ingar and Louise Andersen, whom resided in Ogden, Utah. Boyd graduated from Ben Lomond High school and served his country as an Army Ranger in the Vietnam War. He later received a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Weber State University and a Masters Degree in Counseling from the University of Phoenix. Boyd enjoyed making a positive difference in others lives and spent the majority of his career working as a Substance Abuse Counselor in Idaho and Utah. He had a passion for music, the great outdoors, fishing, and spending time with his family.Boyd is survived by his sister, Carolyn (Mick) Kuroiwa; his three children, Brandon (Laura) Andersen, Tori (Brandon Hansen) Henson, and Heather (Chris) Ball; and 18 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ingar and Louise Andersen.Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013, 2:00 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary 836 36th St Ogden where also a viewing will be held Friday, April 5th from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 12:45-1:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment: Aultorest Memorial Park.
