Boyd G. Scott, 71, on July 30, 2013 retired from life on earth. He would never have retired otherwise as his life consisted of operating his self owned business Scottys Service for approximately 50 years. His sons will continue operating the business. Boyd was born September 25, 1941 in Idaho Falls, ID to Clarence & Vera (Gardner) Scott. He graduated in 1959 from Ogden High. Boyd joined the army in 1963. He had lots of interests through the years being a yo-yo champ, snowmobiling, gardening, woodworking, camp cook at the annual youth hunt, hunting, mostly camping and fishing. On September 4, 1971, Boyd married Donna Arundel and together they raised 4 sons. He is survived by his wife Donna and their children, Wesley (Linnae), Robert (Katherine), Jacob (Tiffanee) and Joseph (Amanda); 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Jay (Maureen) and Richard (Tricia), nieces and nephews, other relatives and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert, a grandson Jonathan and a great grandson Isaac. A viewing will be held at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah on Friday August 2, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, August 3, 2013 from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary with a graveside service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Washington Heights Memorial Park at 4500 Washington Blvd in Ogden, Utah.
