Bradley Ronald Wooden's Obituary

With great sadness we announce the passing of Bradley R Wooden on September 12, 2018. Bradley was born in Ogden, UT to Ronald and Kay Wooden. He grew up in Ogden, Utah graduating from Ogden High School. He received a four year Presidential Commendation Scholarship to Weber State College in 1984, where he received his Bachelors Degree in Physics/Engineering from Weber State College. Bradley possessed an amazing intellect. He received the Deseret News-KSL Sterling Scholar Award in Science for his awards in the Ogden High Bridge Building Competition in which he won first place. He also won not only the Ogden High Mousetrap Car Competition in 1982 but went on to improve his car and break all state records at the 1983 Utah State University Physics Day Mousetrap Car Competition with his win of 92 feet (beating the next contestant by over 30 feet.) He also submitted a paper on Angular Trisection by Geometric Construction that was accepted by the Intermountain Science Symposium. Bradley spent many hours working to prove or disprove many physics and mathematical equations and theories, with his most recent being able to explain and simplify a proof of Fermats Last Theorem, which he felt he accomplished. Bradley was a member of the Ogden High School A Capella Choir. He studied piano for several years and composed his own string quartets, becoming passionate about Classical Music. While at Ogden High, Bradley also participated in extracurricular computer programming, writing a Teacher Grading Program and a Graphic Depiction of Choral Sound program. Though mostly studious, Bradley was proud of his years on the swim team at Ogden High School and being able to letter this sport. Bradley had a gift for cooking. He would often favor his family with wonderful dishes that reflected his attention to finer techniques for cooking and to detail of spices and herbs that made his dishes stand out in memory. Bradley is preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Kay, and is survived by his brother Michael (Theresa), his nieces, nephews, Aunts, Uncles and cousins who loved him very much. Bradley will be greatly missed. The memory of his presence among us will live forever and we are blessed to have had him our lives.
