In loving memory of Brent, born in Ogden, Mar 24, 1950, to Everett Porter Moss and Emily Elizabeth Flint Moss, the youngest of five children, Brent passed away unexpectedly January 13, 2022 at his home in his sleep of natural causes.
For those whose lives he touched and impacted here on earth, he will be greatly missed.
Brent married Linda Robins on Dec 29, 1971, and had two cherished sons, Ryan and Rex. He was later divorced. He married Mabel Ann Murray on July 18, 1987, wherein they had a Hawaiian wedding that they involved the whole community as opposed to catering a plane reasonably and flying everyone to Hawaii.
Brent shared many fun memories and teaching memories with family and extended family from that point on, with skiing, boat rides, and golfing, not only family and friends, but in recent years, the members of the Yacht Club and members of Wolf Creek Golf Course.
Brent had many accomplishments in life, on top of being a loving husband, father, and grandpa, he loved learning and had accomplished so much in life.
Brent has a B.S. degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Mgmt. and Genetic Behavior.
He retired from HAFB after 30 years of service. While at HAFB, he managed large Programs & Contracts from Hazmat, F-16 Falcon 2020, F-16 Foreign Military sales budgets (16 different countries), to the Space Communication Network & F-35. He retired from Space Communication Software Program Mgmt. He then Developed/sold Real Estate, developed on-line Education courses, and Conducted Executive Mgmt. Training, using Genetically Enhanced Personality Profiles.
He was a long-time member of Ogden Pineview Yacht Club (OPYC), now PYC, and previously served as Port Captain/Club Mgr, working with Forest Service Contracts, while installing breakwater, removing, and installing new docks, demolishing the old clubhouse, designing and getting approval from the County and the Forest Service to build the new Club House, all while he was on the Board.
For the last six years, Brent has spent a lot of time working at Wolf Creek Golf Course/Resort. He loves the Valley and the Yacht Club.
Brent is or has been a Realtor/Long Range Planner/Executive Mgmt. Trainer/Consultant.
When he wasn’t golfing or at the Yacht Club, he loved photography and helping others. He loved spending time with Mabel and Ryan and his Wife Michelle almost as much as he loved golf and the Yacht Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Raymond (Ernestine) and Linda (Johnnie).
Still surviving are his Wife Mabel, Sons Ryan (Michelle) and Rex (Heather); as well as his siblings Cal (Carol) and Joan (Dee), and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; plus, many in-laws.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Leavitt’s Mortuary, 830 – 36th Street, Ogden. Friends may also attend a viewing at the mortuary on Friday, January 21, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and from 12:45-1:45 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service.
The family kindly encourages masks be worn.
Interment will be at the Mtn. View Cemetery: 555 E. 2700 N., Eden, UT. Following, there will be a Celebration of Life back at Leavitt’s Mortuary for family and friends.
