Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Brent L. Rallison. Our beloved, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and friend, left this world on October 10, 2024, at the age of 77, surrounded by his loving family at McKay Dee Hospital.

Brent was born on April 12, 1947, in Ogden, Utah, the third of eight children to Blaine and Kathern (Bennett) Rallison. He grew up in West Warren and attended Ogden City Schools. Brent married the love of his life, Ethel Smith, in September 1963, and they shared 61 wonderful years together. Their family grew to include two sons, Ricky B. Rallison (Sandy) and Richard L. Rallison (Kelly), two daughters-in-law, six grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Throughout his life, Brent had a diverse career, working as a long-haul truck driver, Thiokol, Western General Dairy, and alongside Ethel as the owners of the Stagecoach Restaurant and B & E Dry Cleaners. He was known for his spicy personality and renowned sense of humor that were a source of endless entertainment and laughter for all who knew him.

Brent truly cherished his friendships, and those he considered friends were family. He enjoyed all the time spent hunting, fishing, and camping with his closest friends, and he loved taking his family and friends on adventures to Lake Powell, Flaming Gorge and Lake Havasu. Brent and Ethel also enjoyed traveling to many beautiful places, creating cherished memories with their loved ones.

Brent's happiest moments were spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He delighted in watching them swim in the family pool, play in the yard, and gather at Grandma and Grandpa's house for the best Christmas celebrations, always a day early.

Brent was preceded in death by his parents, Blaine and Kathern, his stepfather Ray Bennett, his in-laws, Olive and Loren Smith, all of his siblings, and three great-grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife Ethel, his two sons, two daughters-in-law, six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and the many friends he has collected over the years, including his faithful fur babies, Sparky and Missy.

Brent's presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories will live on. We are grateful for the time we had with him and the impact he made on all of our lives.
