IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Caitlyn Colby
Robison
July 30, 1985 – March 25, 2024
Our beautiful Caitlyn Colby Robison sadly and unexpectedly passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024, at the age of 38. Cait was a wonderful late addition to her family, born in the summer of 1985 to Doug and Laurie Evertsen, at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden UT.
The youngest of four siblings, Cait always wanted to hang out with her older sisters but was also close enough in age to be a great friend to her nieces and nephews. She was a daddy's girl – the only one Dad took for chocolate milk and donuts every morning before school. But she also had a special bond with her mom, and loved to play card games, just like her.
Caitlyn graduated from Ben Lomond Highschool in Ogden, UT in 2003, and was married to her high school sweetheart Roy on June 14, 2003. They were later sealed in the Manti, Utah Temple on June 18, 2011.
Cait was a voracious reader. She loved her books and was always devouring the words and worlds of her favorite authors. Anything fantastical, she adored. She had a particular love for Harry Potter and was a proud Hufflepuff. She also loved to write and started so many inventive, unique stories. She was the consummate creator, just like her mom, and tried her hand at all sorts of wonderful crafts. You counted yourself lucky if you had a Caitlyn original displayed in your home.
Caitlyn studied and got her Medical Assisting certification and worked in that field, before switching to education. She loved and appreciated the important work she did helping Special Education students in Tooele County. But her favorite job by far was being a mom.
She was generous and kind, and treasured spending time with her family, cooking up new meals and playing games. Cait was a loyal wife and a loving and devoted mom to her three kids, Jack, Garrett, and Chloe, who all adored her. She was also a wonderful dog-mom to Penny and Thea, and a fabulous friend. She enjoyed her yearly camping trips with the Robison clan – Barbara Montgomery, Brian, and Jeffrey Robison, and Amber Christofferson. They love and will miss her dearly.
GNOs with us girls were a particular favorite past time of Cait's. The hole she leaves at our game table is a big one. She loved the color blue, Cinderella blue, like her favorite Disney Princess, and had an addiction for anything giraffe related. Cait often joked that she'd burned off all her taste buds with the amount of sour patch everything she enjoyed eating. She had all the best decorations, themes, games, and fun ideas for every holiday. They won't be the same without her.
Caitlyn was also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints and had a fierce testimony and love of the church. She served many callings, and enjoyed doing Temple work, especially for her family.
She is survived by her husband Roy, children, Jack, Garrett and Chloe and older sisters – Donea Weaver (Tyler), Lindsay Burbeck (Mike), and Kelly Kunzler (Dorian), along with all her nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Doug and Laurie Evertsen, and grandparents, Jack and Shirley Kennedy and Jack and Lila Evertsen and her faithful dog Sally.
We will miss her gorgeous smile, truly it was the best, her delicate laugh, and her kind, forgiving, loving infectious spirit. We love you to the stars and back, Caity-bug. Always.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Life's Worth Living foundation out of Tooele County, UT or donating toward funeral expenses to the America First Credit Union Memorial account (9129479) under Caitlyn's name.
A Viewing will be held on March 30th, 2024 from 1:00-1:45PM with Funeral Services following at 2PM at Leavitt's Mortuary & Aultorest Memorial Park.
