Carl Weston Roper, age 49, passed away August 29, 2017. He was born May 20, 1968 to Weston Stanley Roper and Holly (Springer) Schaefer in Ogden, UT. Carl graduated from Bonneville High School. Carls greatest love in life was his son C.J. His greatest accomplishment in life was becoming a father. He enjoyed talking to everyone as a child and as an adult. If he saw a car with the hood up, he wanted to look inside to see the engine and offer to help fix it. He liked fishing, but time spent under a car was always his first choice. Carl loved working on cars and working with tools. Carl loved airplanes and enjoyed building model planes. Carl is survived by his son, Carl Weston, Jr.; his mother, Holly (Springer) Schaefer; wife, Yvonne (McWhirt) Roper; his brothers, William and Aaron; and his sister Lacy. Carl is preceded in death by his father, Weston Roper and his grandparents. A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Lindquist Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT 84403.
