Carol N. Goodwill, age 54, South Ogden passed away suddenly of natural causes on Tuesday, March 22, 2011. She was the light of our lives. Carol was born on August 13, 1956 to Gordon and Christine Howe of Washington Terrace. She graduated from Bonneville High in 1974 and married Dio Davis. They had three beautiful children; Robbi, Riley, and Tyler. Though they later divorced, they remained friends and devoted parents. Carol worked at Hill Air Force Base for many years and met Steve Goodwill there in 1988. Carol and Steve simply loved each other and they married on August 29, 1992. On December 31, 1993 they were blessed with twins, Steven and Sydney. The family moved around for a few years with the Air Force, but Carols home was always Ogden, Utah and the family moved back in 2004. Carol retired from Hill Air Force Base in 2008. She loved being at home, doing all she could for her children, and watching over her young grandchildren. She loved to travel with Steve, Steven and Sydney. Carol loved her life and was the source of great joy for all of us. Shock and sadness cannot begin to convey our loss. Her laughter and her love filled our home and our hearts. We will love her always and miss her beyond words. Carol is survived by her husband Steve; children Robbi (John Hill) Davis of Washington Terrace, Riley (Rachel) Davis of Syracuse, Tyler (Bobbi Jo) Davis of Temecula, California, and Steven and Sydney Goodwill; mother Christine Howe; brothers Ron (Ann Mary), Mark (Jill), and David (Cissy) Howe, and sister Judy (Steve) Jones; grandson Dysen Davis and granddaughters Civil Davis and Reagan Davis. She was preceded in death by her father Gordon Howe. A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, March 28, at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at Washington Heights Church, 1770 East 6200 South, Ogden. A short viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment to immediately follow at Washington Heights Cemetery, 4500 Washington Blvd, Ogden. In lieu of flowers, please send extra flowers-Carol would have liked that very much.
