IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carol Nadine
Simpson
November 22, 1943 – November 24, 2023
OGDEN – Carol Nadine Simpson, 80, peacefully passed away on November 24, 2023.
She was born on November 22, 1943, to Nadine Rose Adcock and Hosea Curran Moody in Ellis Kansas.
Carol attended Weber High School, where she met the love of her life, Robert. They enjoyed 55 years of marriage, before his passing.
Carol was tenacious at anything she set out to do: in her younger years she went to beauty school, and always had the perfect hair; she was a talented seamstress and incredibly crafty making many Halloween costumes, beaded native earrings, and anything else you could think of she could make it happen. And if you know Carol, you know she could cook like no one else, and if she made a meal, it was enough for an army!
She was a no-nonsense gal that after her morning coffee, would put her nose to the grindstone and work her ass off, at many different jobs everywhere from Sweetheart Produce in Ogden, Utah to Wasser & Winters in Icy Bay Alaska; often finding herself in supervisory positions because she was just that bossy!
Later in life, she worked at Lifetime Products, before retiring and spending more time at home, doing the things she loved, like fishing, camping, working in the yard, tending to her Koi pond, and always making sure Robert had plenty of projects on his Honey Do List.
Carol is survived by her two daughters, Charol "Char" (Garth McMurdie) Simpson and Jenn (Garrett) Wilde. Four grandchildren, Reggie (Richard) Smith, Tanner, Saibra (Sierra) Bay, and Dylan; as well as great-grandchildren many grand pups, and of course her favorite dog Little.
Preceding her in death were, her husband, Robert Wayne Simpson, mother, Nadine R. Brown, and father, Hosea C. Moody. Grandmother, Velma "Foxie" Stalder. Her brothers, Tomas W. Moody and Eldon G. Brown Jr., and Sister, Deborah Sue Brown Coffin.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the medical and support professionals, especially those with Hidden Valley Assisted Living and Inspiration Hospice who took such wonderful care of Carol during this difficult time.
As we all know, Carol was a private person and to honor this, a small ceremony will be held by her immediate family. Those who wish to celebrate her life are asked to take a moment to share their favorite photos and memories or a funny story about Carol in the guest book on this memorial page for all to see.
