Carolyn passed away peacefully at Adventist Hospital in Hanford, California on October 20, 2014 after an extended illness. She was born on June 22, 1939 in Ogden, UT to Ray and Lois Miller Beckstead. She grew up in the Ogden area. She worked at IRS in Ogden, Washington DC and Fresno, CA, where she retired in 1979. She married Robert Crandall and had two sons Wayne (Pat) Crandall and Brent Crandall. She later divorced Robert. She married Glade Hirschi in 1969 and added a stepdaughter Colleen (Donny) Ayotte and Cathy Hirschi to her family. Carolyn had 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Carolyn and Glade had many happy years in the Fresno and Hanford area where she was a member of the Hanford 2nd Ward. Carolyns siblings include Eileen (Tim) Wells, Verl Beckstead, Geraldine (Jeri) Smith and Darrell Beckstead who preceded her in death. She will be missed by so many family and friends who loved her. In lieu of flowers the family would love you to make donations to a charity of your choice. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Leavitts Mortuary, 836-36th St. Ogden, Utah 84403. Family will greet friends from 9:45-10:45 am prior to the service.
