Carolynne Henderson, 78, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2014. She was born August 8, 1936 to Arthur Lorenzo and Dorothy Elizabeth Johnson in Ogden, Utah. Carolynne graduated from Ogden High School. She married Lamar J. Eskelsen in Ogden, Utah on December 1955. They had two sons, and later divorced in 1969. On December 1977 she married George P. Henderson in the Ogden L.D.S. Temple. She moved to Liberty, Utah to live with George and his seven children. They lived there for 34 years until he passed away in 2010. The last three years she lived in Riverdale with her two sons. Carolynne worked for Smiths Food King for 42 years. She was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities. She had a special love for her calling with Young Women in the Washington Terrace 3rd Ward. She also enjoyed her callings with George in the Ogden Temple and in their ward in Liberty. She was dedicated to visiting teaching the families there also. Carolynne had a great love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She had a very special love for babies. She is survived by her two sons; Chris Eskelsen and Kent (Jane) Eskelsen, nine grandkids, 17 great grandkids with three grandkids on the way. Seven step children; Rose and Ronne Chambers, Steve and Sue Bauter, John Henderson, Martine and Julie Henderson, Lee and Jane Montoya and Nan and Jason Hodge. She is preceded in death by her mom, dad, sister Roda, and brother Jess. The family expresses gratitude for the service Lisa from Hospice offered our beloved mother, also an appreciation to McKay Dee Hospital. In lieu of flowers, please make donations on Carolynnes behalf to the L.D.S. Humanitarian Aid, the L.D.S. Missionary Fund, or the new Ogden Rescue Mission. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 11:00 am at Leavitts Mortuary, 836-36th St., Ogden, UT. A viewing will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Leavitts and one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 10:45 am.
