Our loving husband, father, Papa, and friend, Charles Wendell Raymond, returned home to his loving Heavenly Father on February 2, 2022, at 2:20 am. He was born on November 16, 1940, to Janeel Attridge and Wendell Raymond in Rigby, Idaho.
Chuck spent his youth growing up in Rigby making many lifelong friends. He spent time working at Reed Drug and many farms in the Rigby area. After graduating from Rigby High School, he joined the Air Force and served in Mountain Home and Puerto Rico from 1959-1963. Upon returning home he held many jobs including working at McKay Dee Hospital and finally becoming a computer mainframe operator for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Chuck worked for the church for 36 years before retiring to become a stay-at-home Papa, his most important and favorite job.
Chuck met his sweetheart, Karen Katie Stallings, working at Idaho Fresh Pak and married her in 1966. They later were sealed for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple. They moved to Utah and made many friends. Chuck and Katie spent much of their life traveling, but the Raymonds house was always a place that welcomed friends from near and far. Chucks big spirit was always a big part of making everyone feel welcome.
Chuck served in many church callings. His most favorite was working in the Ogden Temple from 2014-2020 as an Ordinance Worker. He was a great man with a big heart, and he truly loved the Lord.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Katie, children TaRena (Shayne) Child, Ryan Raymond, and Brooke (Dave) Crawford, brother Brett (Becky) Raymond and sister Rowena (David) Raymond. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Dax (Lynzzi and Graham) Upton, Taylour (Jarom) Hogg, Tryston (Rose and Zayn) Child, Jeydon Child, Skyler Crawford, and Everett Raymond. He is preceded in death by his mother Janeel (Charles) Kelley, father Wendell (Roka) Raymond, his in-laws, and grandson Dayson Child.
