C. Elden Yorgason passed away peacefully October 8, 2013.
Born January 21st, 1915 in Ogden Utah. Son of Charles E. and Ester Erickson Yorgason. He attended Ogden City schools, Weber State College and graduated Utah State University. He served an LDS mission in Norway from 1936 - 1939. He served in the United States Army 1942 - 1946 part of which was in the European Theater. He was active in the LDS Church serving in the Bishopric of the Ogden 9th Ward and the High Council in both the Weber and Mount Ogden Stakes.
He met Helen McCloy (Hooper, Utah) in Paris during World War II. They were married in March 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. She passed away in May of 1978. He married Madeline Watkins in September 1978 in the Ogden Temple. She passed away in November 1992.
He was owner of Yorgason Auto Parts for many years.
He is survived by sons Grant, Kaysville; James (Linda), Bountiful; 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, sister Myrtle McPhie and brother Rulon Yorgason. Preceded in death by son Matthew, Grants wife Pati, brothers Milton, Kenneth and sister Florence Coffman.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday October 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Leavitts Mortuary 836 - 36th Street, Ogden, Utah. Friends and family may call Saturday October 12, 2013 from 9:45a - 10:45a. Interment Saturday October 12, 2013 at the Ogden City Cemetery.
