Cherie H. CliffordCherie H. Clifford, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend passed quietly into the loving arms of her daddy December 5, 2011. She was born September 15, 1939, to Edwin L. Howes and Ella S. Stanger. She grew up in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High. She married Orien A. Dalley on August 10, 1959, they later divorced. On June 18, 1985, she married her husband of 26 years Dale J. Clifford. Cherie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was employed and retired from Defense Depot Ogden and was currently employed at Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market in South Ogden. She was a member of the Ogden Eagles Auxiliary and served as an officer, trustee and member of the drill team.She was very loyal to family and friends and loved to work and stay busy. She most loved being with her family and spending time with them. She is survived by 2 daughters; Chris (Dean) Wirick, Cheryl (Brent) Stringer, five other Children; Lynn (Jana) Clifford, Connie (John) Hancock, Lori (Brent) Florek, Richard (Julie) Clifford, Denae (Bret) Averett, a daughter-in-law Cathy Clifford- Quist, two brothers; Norm (Joan) Howes, E. Clair (Janet) Howes, 34 grand children and 46 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, step son Jon B. Clifford and grandson Travis J. Hawkins.Funeral services for Cherie will be held 2 pm Friday December 9, 2011 at Leavitts Mortuary 836 36th Street in Ogden. Friends may meet family 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm prior to the services. Entombment will be in the Crystal Gardens Mausoleum at the Aultorest Memorial Park.
